All About Me

I have been working in theatre
as an actor, director and teacher
for more than twenty five years.

I have been a member of Theatre de Complicite since 1986, appearing in six of their shows:

Food Stuff, Please Please Please, The Visit,
The Three Lives Of Lucie Cabrol, The Chairs
and Light.

My other theatre includes Mr.Puntilla And His Man Matti with The Right Size, The Dove for the Croydon Warehouse, Special Offer at the Young Vic, Trouble in Paradise with the Talking Pictures Theatre Co. and The End of the Tunnel directed by Philippe Gaulier.

Lucie Cabrol - Complicite

My Television credits include Bramwell, Peak Practice, Between the Lines, Pie in the Sky, Peter and the Wolf, The Bill, and Burning Ambition - a play written for the B.B.C. by Theatre de Complicite. I have also acted for radio and short films.

I have directed the first Peepolykus show Let The Donkey Go and before that I directed David Sant from this talented company in a one man show called The Titanic, Mussolini and the Doctor. My other directing credits include Tin Moon for Hot House Theatre, Le Mort de Client for Told by an Idiot, The Bitches Ball for Penny Dreadful, In The Darkness by Puntocero and final direction on Hoipolloi's Honestly.

During my career as an actor and director, I have always continued to teach theatre. I have worked at the Commedia School in Copenhagen where I taught Melodrama and Neutral Mask. I have taught Clown at the Central School of Speech and Drama and Devising Theatre at both Rose Bruford Drama School and the Manchester Metropolitan University. I have also been a teacher at the Philippe Gaulier School where I taught Bouffon, Clown and Neutral Mask.

I am a regular teacher at the Circus Space in London, where I teach Theatre Studies on the three-year degree course, The London School of Musical Theatre, where I teach Play, Improvisation and Mask Play, and RADA, where I teach Physicality in Performance. I have also taught Physical Theatre for some ten years for the British American Drama Academy. During this time I have also taught on the open Complicite workshop programs and given classes and courses in Hong Kong, Berlin, Hamburg, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland and America.
